A mobile lab to study driver behaviour under adverse road-weather conditions

Last week our mobile road-weather and traffic monitoring facility finally arrived on a rainy day! It is a set of state-of-the-art sensors mounted on a trailer enabling concurrent collection of road-weather and vehicle-by-vehicle traffic data from any roadside location. This unique facility will enable accurate investigation of driver behaviour under adverse road-weather conditions to develop effective strategies to improve the operations, safety, and resilience of highway transportation in cold regions.
